The Recap is free for every reader - which means the list grows fast and sponsors are what keep it running. Every issue lands in the inboxes of Kershaw County residents engaged enough to follow their county government, plus readers on the website and the print copies around town.

Kershaw County businesses come first

Local businesses get priority placement. Sponsor slots are offered to Kershaw County businesses and organizations before anyone else, at a discount off the standard rate. If a local and an out-of-county advertiser want the same issue, the local gets it. Period. The top banner is reserved for sponsors, locals first - standard network ads only ever run below the recap.

What a sponsorship looks like

One tasteful sponsor spot per recap - your name, one or two sentences, and a link - clearly labeled, placed right at the top of the issue. It runs everywhere the issue runs: the email edition, this website (including the archive, forever), and the print copies around town. We never do pop-ups, and there is never more than one sponsor banner per recap - which is exactly why it gets noticed. A small, clearly labeled standard ad lower on the page helps keep the Recap free for every reader; your banner always sits above it, at the top.

Kershaw County businesses are confirmed first. We'll reply within a couple of days with available issues and payment options.

Sponsors have no influence over coverage. Every vote gets reported the same way whether a sponsor likes it or not.
